How to research hashtags on Instagram so that the content is viewed by many people

Imagine if your promotional content on Instagram could reach hundreds of thousands of people without having to pay for advertising. Like this for example ...
Really cool right? That's how you will feel if you know how to research hashtags on Instagram and use them optimally.
Many people underestimate the hashtag. Do you know?

Hashtags have been proven to increase content distribution.

A research conducted by simply measured shows an interesting fact about the importance of hashtags on Instagram.
Posts that use at least 1 hashtag, reach 12.6% more people than posts that don't use hashtags at all.
That means, using the right hashtag makes our content easy to find, increases engagement, and brings in new followers. In fact, often bring sales.
Then how do you research the hashtag on the right Instagram?
Before we get to the point of the discussion, it's good to know first what the Instagram hashtag is and how it works.
Related by Twitter in 2007, the hashtag works to group conversations on social media according to their topic. So people can find content/posts according to their interests.
On Instagram, the hashtag not only categorizes the content and makes it easy to find, but also,
... effective ways to reach lots of people and get lots of followers.
How come?

On Instagram there is a follow hashtag feature

With this feature Buy Instagram followers user can follow atopic and get content according to their interests.
So if we use the hashtag, our content will be distributed to other Instagram users who are interested in the topics posted.
This is very useful especially when we are still pioneering building Instagram and there are still very few followers.
Because by using hashtags, our content has the opportunity to be discovered by millions of other Instagram users who are not yet our followers.
So they can get to know us, interact with us, and become our followers later.
In addition, the hashtag also functions as a keyword on the Instagram search engine.
On Instagram, there is a search box where we can search for users, hashtags, and locations.
As you can see in the image above, there is no menu for searching posts. We can only search for posts containing hashtags via the tag menu.
That means, if our post doesn't use a hashtag, we lose the chance of being found by other users.
Too bad if this hashtag is not used optimally.
In this article, I will try to share how to do proper research on Instagram so that our content can be found by Instagram users, increase engagement, and bring in new followers.
# 1 Brainstorming Appropriate Keywords
Before starting to research hashtags on Instagram, make a list of keywords related to your business, especially the content that you will post.
Perform brain storming, for example:
what is the object posted, what is the moment, the product being offered, where is the location, the benefits of the product, who will see the post, etc.?
=> to optimize the post to be found by followers of a hashtag?
what keywords people will type to find your post
=> to optimize the post to be easily found by users who search.
# 2 Hashtag Research with Instagram Search Features
Once you have a list of keywords that suit your business or content, the next step is to find out if the hashtag is available on Instagram
We can use the Instagram search feature to find out.
Enter keywords that match your content or business in the Instagram search box then select the menu tag, like the following picture:
After that, note down at least 10-20 interesting hashtags. We will further explore this hashtag to look for derived hashtags.
In addition, also click the accounts menu, noting at least 10-20 influential accounts that we will use to learn what hashtags they are using.

# 3 Hashtag Research Used by Top Post
If we click on one of the hashtags in the Instagram search results, then we will be taken to a page that contains posts throughout Instagram that use a hashtag.
Well, this page is divided into 2 parts, namely Recent and Top.
Recent is the latest Instagram post that uses a hashtag.
Top is a post chosen by the Instagram system because it is considered to be interesting and quality.
Posts that go into the top will be prioritized to be distributed to hashtag followers used in the post.
So that post can become viral, seen by hundreds of thousands to millions of people, and bring in lots of new followers.
Well, here is our chance to find out what hashtags are used by posts that are judged to be of quality by the Instagram algorithm.
We can click on one of the posts at the top of the post then we note the hashtag used.
Like this post for example:
# 4 Hashtag Research Followed by Celebrities
Celebrities - famous accounts that have a lot of followers - usually will follow hashtags that are important to them.
It could be their favorite / mainstay hashtags, hashtags that make viral posts, or branded hashtags that they are monitoring their posts.
If a hashtag is followed by a celebrity, then we can assume:
many hashtag posts that are interesting and on topic,
not much on spamming
In addition, if we use the hashtag that is followed by celebrities:
Our posts have the opportunity to enter the "radar" of selebgram and have the opportunity to be LIKE by celebrities.
What is the importance of our posts LIKE by selebgram?

The Instagram algorithm evaluates our posts as quality.

If our post is liked by someone, then our post will appear in the explore section that hits our post.
